The Center on Child Abuse and Neglect is conducting a two-group randomized trial of Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST). This study compares the effectiveness of MST to juvenile probation services, which are the standard care interventions for delinquent youth in Oklahoma. The study is funded by the U.S. Office of Justice Programs and is being conducted in collaboration with the Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs (OJA). The study population is juveniles (12 to 20 years of age) who are in OJA custody (i.e., adjudicated delinquents) and who have been placed in an OJA residential facility and are preparing to leave the facility and re-enter the community. Participants are surveyed in a longitudinal design on three occasions: baseline, 6 months, and 12 months. |
