Dr Mark Wolraich is the CMRI/Shaun Walters Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is also Director of the Child Study Center at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr Wolraich earned his medial degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and his Fellowship in Pediatrics at the Oregon Health & Sciences University Child Development and Rehabilitation Center in Portland, Oregon. Dr Wolraich is board certified in Pediatrics and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine. He has chaired or participated on a number of national activities including the development of the DSM for primary care child and adolescent version, the AAP guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and a national collaborative training primary care clinicians in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD sponsored by the National Initiative for Children’s Healthcare Quality He is a past president of the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. Dr. Wolraich has received many financial awards to conduct pediatric studies, and has authored or co-authored more than 150 journal articles, abstracts, book chapters and monographs. |
